.Class Description:  This small group class introduces skaters to ice dance steps and rhythmic performance to a piece of music. The aim of this class is to learn ice dance steps and patterns aligned with the Learn to Skate USA ice dance badge program. Ice dancers begin by learning dance steps such as swing rolls and progressives, and a series of set pattern dances to various musical rhythms like Dutch Waltz, Canasta Tango, and Rhythm Blues. Dances can be performed either solo or with a partner. Skaters can both test and compete in Ice dance; Solo Dance competition has become very popular recently. Dance is great for adults who may not be inclined to jumps and spins, and for anyone who wants to work on their edges and musicality. Skaters may earn the Ice Dance badges.
