Club Memberships
We offer club memberships on an annual basis (from July 1 through June 30). For the different types of memberships offered, prices and benefits, please read the following:
Club Membership for Learn-to-Skate Program:
1. Basic Skills Membership ($20) - required for skaters in Learn to Skate lessons. Click here for detailed instructions.
In addition, each skater must purchase a Learn to Skate USA membership on the Learn to Skate USA website. The cost is $18.50. Be sure to choose Blue Edge FSC of CT as your rink.
Club Membership for Practice Ice Sessions:
All practice ice skaters and board members are required to be members of U. S. Figure Skating (USFS). Skaters also need USFS membership to participate in test sessions and competitions. Membership in USFS may be maintained through our Club or through another club. Those who register through our Club are called Full Club members of the Blue Edge FSC of CT; others are called non-Home- Club members and can decide to get Associate Club membership or skate as Guests (see below for details).
1. Full Membership - Full membership to our club includes annual USFS membership. We offer the following categories of Full Blue Edge Membership:
a) Full - Introductory ($95) - For skaters joining USFS for the first time. Typically, it is for skaters moving up from Basic Skills membership.
b) Full - 1st Family Member ($127) - For the first family member who wishes to join our Club and USFS as a Full member.
c) Full - Subsequent Family Member ($90) - For family members who are in addition to the first family member.
d) Full - Collegiate 1st year ($150) - For college student who want to avail the Four-year USFS Collegiate membership.
e) Full - Collegiate 2nd-4th Year ($50) - For those college students who have previously paid for the USFS 4- year Collegiate membership.
2. Associate Membership ($50) - For "non-Home-Club" skaters who wish to participate in Blue Edge FSC activities like test sessions, competitions and shows, but are members of USFS through another club or are individual USFS members. Associate members are eligible to purchase practice ice at the same rates as Full Members, and to save money by purchasing “punch cards”. They cannot vote or be on the Board of Directors.
3. Guests - For "non-Home-Club" skaters who are members of USFS through another club or are individual USFS members but do not wish to participate in Blue Edge FSC activities like competitions and shows. They cannot vote or be on the Board of Directors. Check our Guest Policy HERE.
