Season’s Greetings Blue Edge Figure Skaters and Families,
We are excited for the upcoming Holiday Show on Sunday, December 21st, 2025 at 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Our show will feature a variety of performances from soloists, synchronized skating teams, and members of our Learn to Skate program! We have created the following plan for the day of the event.
Please plan to arrive at the rink 30 minutes early to get your skates laced and ready to perform. You will need to pick up your name badge from Ted at the Front Desk. We suggest a $5 donation (cash, check or Venmo) at the front desk to offset show expenses. Half of the proceeds will be donated to Connecticut Food Bank. Families can also consider bringing canned and non-perishable food items that will be donated on behalf of the club to the Connecticut Food Bank.
Skaters will be invited to take laps along the perimeter of the rink in order to warm up. Skaters in our Learn to Skate program will be seated in the hockey boxes that are rinkside during the performances. This will allow them easy access to the ice for their own performances and for the Grand March/Finale.
Soloists and Skating Teams will be wearing their special skating outfits. All other performers are encouraged to wear their festive winter wear or the outfit that was decided upon in their skating groups. Please remember your skating helmet and guards!!
Blue Edge Figure Skating Club Members will be at the doors to the arena to usher families and friends to the main seating area in the rink. Apple cider will be provided courtesy of the Blue Edge Figure Skating Club and served in the upstairs lobby at the end of the show. We welcome any additional refreshments that families would like to contribute as we celebrate the holiday season.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns regarding the show.
Sincerely,
John Cain
Program Director
